School supplies are on display everywhere you turn and pumpkin cravings are starting again. Yes, fall is upon us (which is exciting for all you autumn lovers!) and that means summer is coming to a close. You’ve spent all summer wearing the hottest warm weather looks, but how do you translate those trends into fall? We’re here to show you how to make women’s tank tops, shorts, and other summer looks fall-friendly!
Old School Florals
Florals transition seamlessly from spring to summer, but what about summer to fall? This year’s floral patterns are reminiscent of patterns found in the early 90s, and many feature small flower details on white or black backgrounds. These cute florals are seen on dresses, tops, skirts, shoes, and just about everything in-between! This type of floral is actually very fall friendly and can easily be paired with darker fall colors. We think a flowy skirt with this particular pattern would look great with our Long Sleeve Washed Woven Shirt, a pair of tights, and booties!
Spaghetti-Strapped Tank Tops
Women’s tank tops come in all shapes, sizes, and styles. This summer we saw spaghetti strapped tops everywhere, from loose fitting tanks that draped over skirts, jeans, or yoga pants, to more fitted camisole styles perfect for pairing with high waisted pants and skirts. Spaghetti-strapped tank tops may not be sensible when those cool fall breezes start to blow, so try layering them to maintain their graceful, delicate look throughout the fall. We recommend slipping them them over a slinky, long-sleeved shirt, or wearing one underneath one of our full-zip hoodies.
High Waisted Distressed Jean Shorts
Your favorite jean shorts are finally broken in perfectly and almost feel like a second skin. So why put them away until next summer? Layering is key, especially during fall when it can go from chilly to warm and back in one day. Layering can be fashionable, too! Pick your favorite women’s tank top from District® clothing, topped with our Ladies Cardigan Sweater. Then layer a pair of tights under your loveable, worn in jean shorts. This outfit reminds us of a dreamy, crisp fall day walking among the fallen leaves with a pumpkin spice latte in hand!
Whether you opted for studded details, frayed edges, or clean and classic, your go-to denim vest was a great way to add a little vintage trendiness to any summer outfit. They especially look great with any of District’s® women’s tank tops and a pair of shorts. They look especially cute over a flirty sun dress. But for fall, your vest will look equally as cool with a long sleeve shirt, like our Juniors The Concert Tee™ Long Sleeve V-Neck Tee, with a pair of colored jeans!
